Your ticket grants your neurodivergent child more than just entry; it’s a passport to an experience filled with:

-The opportunity to think about your own unique self
-An assessment of hopes, dreams, fears, aspirations etc. used to develop a unique character for each participant
-Recovery: when a role-playing game is in the recovery realm, it means to overcome challenges – to recover from anything you are up against
-A chance to practice navigating the world around you from a safe and controlled environment

💰 This series is $350. The experience is priceless. Program funding may come from Special Services at Home (SSAH).

Jess Jones Recreation Therapy Inc. was founded in June of 2021. What started off as only providing sensory exploration kit subscriptions has grown into serving hundreds of humans of all ages and abilities nationwide with one-to-one and group therapeutic recreation programming!

With a focus on serving children with intellectual and developmental disabilities with an FASD specialization, we are also experts in providing programming to adults and seniors alike.

DESCRIPTION

Introducing the Jess Jones Recreation Therapy Co-Ed Volleyball Team, a dynamic and inclusive sports program designed for neurodivergent teens aged 13-19. This volleyball team offers a fantastic opportunity for teens to engage in physical activity, learn the fundamentals of volleyball, and develop teamwork skills in a supportive environment. 

Tailored to accommodate the diverse needs of neurodivergent participants, our program emphasizes fun, participation, and personal growth. Through practice sessions and friendly matches, team members will not only improve their volleyball skills but also enhance their social interaction capabilities and boost self-confidence.

Join us to spike, serve, and score your way to a fulfilling team experience where every player is valued and celebrated.

INTENDED AUDIENCE

Neurodivergent Teens: Specifically, teens aged 13-19 who are neurodivergent, including those with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other similar neurodevelopmental differences.

Active and Sports-Interested Youth: Teens who have an interest in sports and physical activities, looking for an opportunity to engage in a team sport that accommodates their individual needs and abilities.

Teens Seeking Social Opportunities: Those who are looking to expand their social circles and make new friends within a structured and supportive setting.

Families and Caregivers: Parents and caregivers searching for inclusive and beneficial extracurricular activities for their teens that promote health, social skills, and teamwork.

Educational and Therapeutic Professionals: Teachers, therapists, and counselors who recommend extracurricular activities that align with therapeutic goals, promoting both physical health and social integration.

The Social Sprouts Program at Jess Jones Recreation Therapy is a dynamic and engaging initiative designed for children aged 6 to 12. This program focuses on nurturing social skills and emotional intelligence through a variety of fun, interactive activities. Each session is crafted to foster communication, cooperation, and confidence among young participants. Children will take part in games, arts and crafts, group discussions, and role-playing exercises that encourage them to express themselves and understand others. 

The Social Sprouts Program aims to equip children with the foundational social skills they need to form positive relationships, navigate challenges, and thrive in their social environments. Whether your child is looking to make new friends, improve their communication skills, or simply enjoy a safe and inclusive space to be themselves, Social Sprouts offers a welcoming community where every child can grow and shine.
